Welcome to Darna, you’re home away from home! In Arabic – Darna means our home, and we, Duaa and Dalia — cousins from Jordan — are thrilled to host you at our cozy hostel in the heart of Amman. We are two enthusiastic ladies passionate about sharing our culture and language. We have years of experience in teaching Arabic to foreigners and working with people from different backgrounds.

The hostel is in the vibrant neighborhood of Jabal al-Weibdeh, a popular area known for its hipster vibes and wide array of cafes, restaurants, bars, and live music. Nestled next to the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, our location offers a perfect blend of cultural and historical experiences. At Darna, you’ll be just a short stroll away from the impressive King Abdullah I Mosque, a stunning example of modern Islamic architecture. Explore nearby cafes, restaurants, and art galleries, or take a 20-minute walk to downtown Amman to visit the Roman Theater, Hussainy Mosque, and the renowned Hashem Falafel restaurant.
Our cozy hostel features five bedrooms, a welcoming indoor common area with a fantastic garden where you can chill, enjoy the sun, do yoga and meet new friends, and a cozy outdoor dining roof.

Whether you're a solo traveler or not, Darna provides a safe and enjoyable environment. Both of us have extensive experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and we offer Arabic classes and opportunities to immerse yourself in Jordanian culture. Cancellation
Policy:
You may cancel your reservation up to 2 days before arrival. Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a full charge.
Check-in
& Check-out
Check-in is from 2 PM to 8 PM. For late check-ins, kindly email the hostel in advance.
Check-out time is until 12:30 PM.
Payment upon arrival is accepted in cash and visa.

We're located at house number 6, easily identifiable by our brightly painted wooden fence, with the historic church number 12 right in front of us. You'll be just a short walk away—5 minutes to King Abdullah I Mosque, 15 minutes to the JETT Bus Station, and 4 minutes to the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts.

In 8 years of backpacking, this is the first hostel that felt homely and cozy. Dua and Dalia were very warm hosts and paid attention to everything that a backpacker may need.
